A New Year

I have so much joy and gratitude in my heart as I sit down to write you. When you open this letter it will be a new year for us all. Calendars are useful for us but God doesn’t need one. He is the same every day and every year. He is loving, good, kind, patient, merciful, and believes the best in you and for you every day. Therefore, 2022 will be a good year for those who’s God is the Lord!

I remember learning in economics that the best way to forecast the future is to study the trend of the past. When I look at my life, it has had ups and downs. However, if I drew a trend line through it from the day I said, “Jesus you are Lord of my life” until today, the overall trend is heading upward. Before Jesus, the overall trend was heading down. I think this is what the Lord is saying in Proverbs 4:18, “The path of the just (righteous) is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day.”

The Lord tremendously blessed the December outreach in Rionegro, Colombia. We prayed with well over a hundred people to surrender their lives to Jesus as Lord. Many of them received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and their prayer language. Our team of young missionaries and Colombian believers ministered with a strong anointing to the sick and oppressed. More than anything, Jesus gave peace and freedom to the demonically oppressed. Josh, Sarah, Heather, Joe, Rochelle, Felipe, and Krizia, were all a joy to work with and were appreciated by everyone but the devil. The open air preaching and healing in the plazas impacted and penetrated people’s hearts. The Lord restored vision in seven people that we know of.

We purchased a small truckload of food for 90 families who are homeless and pick through trash to survive. Carolina set up the meeting at the recycling center where they take metal, plastic, and cardboard. Chairs were provided so they could rest and hear the Gospel. The response was positive with the majority expressing faith in Jesus. Many are refugees from Venezuela. One young family attended our church the following Sunday. That really made my heart happy!

During the nightly revival services a genuine move of repentance occurred and people were filled and refilled with the fire of the Holy Spirit. We extended the meetings for five extra days. One night, Maria, a nine-year-old girl experienced Jesus and heaven in a vision. God’s presence was overwhelming as she shared the following Sunday morning. Also that Sunday, Erica read her mammogram results to us. Proving Jesus had healed her and the nodule in her breast no longer existed. All the glory and honor to Him.

It is our prayer that God help us. That He keep you and us on this bright path. That we may continue to walk with Jesus and live for Him and work so that others truly make Him Lord and walk with Him. Jesus has never failed us and He never will. The one step of repentance puts us back on track in the positive upward direction He desires for us. This new year will be a great one as we put Him and His kingdom first.

With much love and gratitude,

Charley & Julie
