Renewed Baptism

Julie and I send you our love from Colombia. It’s been a powerful month hereMy heart is full and happy to give a report of revival that has broken out.

I don’t have an exact count but conservatively more than 90 people of all ages and walks of life have received Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior! Conservatively more than 130 have been baptized and filled with Holy Spirit. That makes a great month in our world. Colombia suffered a very hard wave of the virus in June and July. Two weeks ago, when we arrived in Bogota you could literally cut the atmosphere of fear with a knife. It was a tough environment to begin preaching in, but Holy Spirit began moving in the first service.

The glory of the Lord broke through on Sunday the 22nd in a weight and measure that we have rarely felt or seen. I did not know whether to weep or laugh or dance or prostrate myself on the floor. Anything could have happened that day and so much did. Jesus healed people of numerous things including: two blind eyes, glaucoma, deafness, paralysis from stroke, pain and suffering from permanent injuries, and more. Over thirty adults responded for salvation.

Yesterday I preached on Phillip and the Ethiopian eunuch’s salvation and water baptism. We water baptized between 50 and 60 people. For a baptismal, Soul Harvest bought the church a 2,000 liter horse trough. We engineered it with a pump and on demand water heater so we could recirculate the water and keep it warm. We also bought a bunch of towels. Most people did not come prepared but Holy Spirit moved on their hearts and they got baptized in their clothes and went home wet. This tank is wide enough so we can baptize two at a time. I asked pastor Camilo to let two men who are upcoming pastors to do so. It was amazing to see how Jesus set their hearts on fire and activated their gift as they took time to minister to the people in the tank. During the baptisms, some were set free from demonic oppression, while others were healed of physical things. We will hear tremendous testimonies over the next few days.

After the folks dried off, we had another team prepared to minister the infilling of the Holy Spirit to the people. It was an awesome spectacle of God’s love and amazing grace. The worship team continued to lead us in worship the entire time. One man, who is a national Senator, commented that he had never felt the fear of the Lord and experienced the holy presence of God as during this baptismal service.

I pray and believe that this revival will continue for months after we leave. Julie and I have been friends with Pastors Camilo and Maritza for 27 years. They have raised up a great church and have a strong leadership team that can host such a sustained revival. Thank you for sending us to Colombia. Your prayers and generosity have reached these souls for Jesus. Thank you for being here with us in spirit. Our prayer for the nations, including ours, is: for every wave of infection and death, God give us seven waves of revival!

We love and appreciate you more than words can express.
