Greetings from Colombia, our mission field together! Thank God our partnership together is working and producing positive results. Please allow me to quickly share what’s happening.
Maybe it’s the call of God on my life, maybe it’s just my age, or maybe it’s the hour in which we live? I am not sure but my heart is all about souls being saved these days. This is the simple motivation and focus of our ministry here in Colombia. I am happy to say God is breathing upon and blessing our efforts. I still believe the best thing we can do for suffering humanity anywhere is to lift up Jesus and call them to receive Him and His amazing salvation. A great door has opened for us to do just that in the town of Concordia, in the southwest of Antioquia. Concordia is in the coffee region about 4 hours from where Julie and I live. There are more than 27,000 lost souls in Concordia and the surrounding villages. We will travel there on the 20th and began preparing for a citywide gospel crusade to begin on October27th through the 30th. This will be the first time that such an event has ever been held there. My heart is crying out for the souls of Concordia. It’s like an angel has given us the key to the city. We need your prayers and help to take it.
Because we now have our own sound system, costs for these events have substantially reduced. It will cost $5,800.00 to fund this entire crusade. Due to insecurity, this area has been closed off and difficult to reach for decades. Now that has changed. Though things are dicey in various parts of Colombia, we have this window of divine opportunity to safely preach the gospel to Concordia. In a few short weeks, this city will hear the amazing story of God’s love and salvation. By the grace of God, Jesus will be the main and entire focus of the city during these special days. Everyone will have the opportunity to call upon the name of Jesus and be saved.
We will be taking our worship team and ministry team from Launch Pad, our ministry school. It will consist of more than twenty people. Our team is mostly young people with very limited resource therefore Soul Harvest will cover the expense of their transportation, food, and lodging. All of which is figured into the budget above. We are renting a large house that has a big yard where we can all stay, cook, and some of the guys can camp while others sleep inside. They are super excited for this opportunity to share Jesus with Concordia.
I believe this crusade will forever mark the city of Concordia for Jesus. Please will you pray for us and the cost of this crusade. Each crusade we do is in addition to our monthly operating and living expenses. We have always seen God’s divine provision as we have gone after and pursued reaching souls for Jesus.
